I’m an efficiency queen, straight-talker, and unabashed list-maker who takes pride in finding the best way to do something, whether I’m streamlining my editing process, finally getting into a good running routine, or creating storage solutions for my boys’ growing monster truck & Lego collections.
Every artist has an origin story, right? I’m no different.
I remember rummaging through a big, four drawer dresser where my mom haphazardly stored photos of my siblings and me, her and my dad, our grandparents, and more. Each photo became a memory, and I loved that they not only captured beloved people and treasured events, but allowed me to connect to places I’d never been, and people I never met.
As I grew older and found myself behind my own lens, I became further convinced of the inexplicable magic photos give us to experience and re-experience the moments we never want to forget.
We all have them. Those moments when time slowed and we wished that we could stretch every second just a little longer, because we felt such intense joy, fierce love, or even just easy appreciation for daily, commonplace routines. Those old drawers of images made me not only appreciate the photos themselves, but the moments they represented.
And that’s the exact connection I want to create for my clients.
When I started capturing images professionally, I realized that being a photographer is more than taking a great photo.
The hardest and most important work a photographer can do happens before and after the big moments you want hanging in a frame.
This is my happy place
I want to know you and your family. I want to know who you really are and represent that in photo form, because no two families are alike. And after more than 100 weddings in the books and countless family sessions, I’ve learned to pack a bag of tricks - both figuratively and literally!
